노르웨이의 오슬로가 일본 도쿄를 제치고 세계에서 가장 생활비가 많이 드는 도시로 선정됐습니다. 영국 런던에 소재한 경제정보국은 세계 130개 도시의 재화와 서비스 가격을 비교하면서 오슬로를 1위, 도쿄를 2위로 선정했습니다.
경제정보국은 엔화 약세와 수년 간에 걸친 낮은 인플레이션으로 도쿄가 1위 자리를 오슬로에 넘겼다고 밝혔습니다. 또 레이랴비크와 오사카, 파리, 코펜하겐 등을 생활비가 많이 드는 나라로 꼽았으며, 미국에서 가장 생활비가 많이 드는 도시는 뉴욕으로 세계 27위라고 밝혔습니다.
이밖에 아순시온과 뭄바이, 카라치, 테헤란 등은 생활비가 가장 적게 드는 도시로 꼽혔습니다.

Oslo has taken the dubious honor from Tokyo as the world's most expensive city.
The London-based Economist Intelligence Unit, which compares the cost of goods and services in 130 cities -- has placed Oslo on top, knocking Tokyo down to second place.
The Unit cites a weakening yen and several years of low inflation in Japan.
The survey also puts Reykjavik, Osaka, Paris, and Copenhagen among the most expensive.
The most expensive American city -- New York -- ranked 27th. The world's five cheapest cities are Asuncion, Mumbai, Karachi, Manila, and Tehran.
