[크리스챤 피스메이커 팀]은 28일, 두 달 전에 실종된 이들 4명이 석망되기를 계속 희망한다고 밝혔습니다. 아랍어 텔레비전방송 [알-자지라]방송은 28일 오전에 납치범들이 미국과 이라크내에 수용돼 있는 모든 이라크 포로들을 석방하지 않으면 이들을 살해하겠다고 위협하는 장면을 담은 비데오 테이프를 방영했습니다.
한편 잭 스트로 영국 외무장관은 영국은 올해 안에 이라크 주둔 영국군을 감축하기를 희망하지만, 그 시기는 이라크 정부가 안정된 이후가 될 것이라고 밝혔습니다. 이라크에는 현재 8,500명의 영국군이 파견돼 있습니다.

A Western peacemaking group says it is grateful and heartened to have seen a broadcast apparently showing four of its workers being held by kidnappers in Iraq. The group (Christian Peacemaker Teams) said today (Saturday) it continues to hope for the release of the four activists, who disappeared two months ago.
In a videotape broadcast earlier today by the Arab television station al-Jazeera, kidnappers threatened to kill the activists unless all Iraqi prisoners are released from U.S. and Iraqi prisons.
Meanwhile, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said today his country hopes to cut the number of its forces in Iraq this year -- but only when Iraq's government is secure. Some 85-hundred British troops are stationed in the country. In other news, the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq says a soldier was killed when his vehicle was struck today (Saturday) by a roadside bomb in Baghdad.
