지진이 발생했던 파키스탄 지역에 폭설과 폭우가 연 이틀째 계속돼 구호 물자를 실은 수송기들의 운항이 중단됨에 따라 천막에서 생활하고 있는 수백만 명의 지진 이재민들을 더욱 비참하게 만들고 있습니다.
이 같은 악천후 속에 주요 사건이 발생했다는 보도는 없었으나 군 관계자들은 일부 천막들이 무너졌다고 전했습니다. 현지 보도들은 이들 산간 지역에 내린 폭우로 일부 산사태가 발생했으나 육로를 이용한 구호 활동은 계속되고 있다고 전했습니다.
파키스탄 북부 지역에서 지난 10월 8일에 발생한 지진으로 7만 3천 여명이 숨지고 3백여만명의 이재민이 발생했습니다.

Two days of rain and snow across Pakistan's earthquake zone have grounded relief flights, adding to the misery of millions of survivors camped out in tents. There were no reports of major incidents, but the military said some tents collapsed. Reports from the region say heavy rain across the mountains produced some landslides but some relief operations by road were continuing.
They say some parts of the quake zone, extending from Kashmir into North West Frontier Province, are buried under more than 60 centimeters of snow. Relief groups say they are storing additional emergency relief material near the towns that are most likely to be cut off this winter.
More than than three million people were left homeless and 73,000 people were killed by the October 8th earthquake in northern Pakistan. More than 1,300 were killed in neighboring Indian Kashmir.
