인도네시아 중부 술라웨시 팔루지역의 붐비는 상점에서 폭탄이 터져 적어도 여덟 사람이 죽고 마흔 여덟 사람이 다쳤습니다.
인도네시아 경찰당국은 31일, 팔루의 기독교도 구역에서 사제폭탄이 터졌다고 밝히고 그러나 이 폭발이 중부 술라웨시에서 일어났던 기독교도와 회교도간의 폭력충돌 사태와 관련된 것인지는 아직 알수 없다고 말했습니다.
중부 술라웨시에서는 지난 10월에 기독교도 10대 소녀들 세 명이 참수당한데 이어 11월에도 정체불명의 무장자들이 총격을 벌여 회교도 여자 한 명과 기독교도 여자 한 명이 부상하는 폭력사태가 벌어졌었습니다.

Indonesian police say a bomb exploded in a crowded market in the restive province of Central Sulawesi, killing at least eight people and wounding 48 others.
Authorities say the blast occurred early today (Saturday) at a market selling pork ahead of New Year celebrations in the town of Palu. Police say the homemade bomb went off in a Christian part of the town, but that it is too early to know if the explosion was linked to the sectarian violence that has plagued Central Sulawesi.
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono condemned the blast, and has ordered an investigation.
In October, unidentified assailants beheaded three Christian teenage girls in Central Sulawesi. Two other girls, a Muslim and a Christian, were seriously wounded by gun-wielding assailants in the province in November.
