아제르바이잔 항공사 소속 여객기 한 대가 수도 바쿠에서 이륙 직후 추락해 탑승객 23명 모두 사망했다고 아제르바이잔 관리들이 말했습니다.
당국은 이 항공사 소속 안토노프 An-140가 23일 저녁 카자흐스탄의 아크타우로 향하던 중 추락했다고 말했습니다.
추락한 여객기 잔해는 바쿠에서 30 킬로미터 떨어진 나르다난 부근의 카스피해에서 발견됐으며 당국은 추락원인을 규명하기 위한 작업을 벌이고 있습니다.
여객기에는 승무원 5명과 승객 18명이 탑승해 있었으며, 승객 중 8명은 영국인과 터키인 등 외국인입니다.

Authorities in Azerbaijan are searching for clues to explain why an Azerbaijani Airlines plane crashed late Friday, killing all 23 people aboard the flight.
Crews are searching the wreckage of the twin-engine turboprop Antonov An-140 for the flight data recorders. Officials said today (Saturday) they do not know why the plane crashed, but expect to learn more after the so-called "black boxes" are recovered.
The flight went down just off shore in the Caspian Sea shortly after taking off from the capital, Baku, as the plane headed to the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan.
The flight was carrying a crew of five, and 18 passengers. Eight of the passengers are listed as foreigners -- four Kazakhs, one Briton, one Turk, one Australian and one Georgian.
