아흐마디네자드 대통령이 앞서 세 차례 석유부 장관을 지명했으나 이란 의회가 모두 인준을 거부했으며 그에 따라 이란의 석유정책이 혼란에 빠져 있습니다.
이란 석유장관 지명자에 대한 의회의 인준표결은 오는 11일에 있을 예정입니다. 이란은 전세계 석유매장량의 8분의 1을 차지고 있으며 전세계 1일 원유생산량의 5퍼센트인 4백만 배럴 이상의 원유를 생산하고 있습니다.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has named a new oil minister, making another attempt to win parliamentary approval of his choice for the important position.
The president is proposing former Deputy Oil Minister Kazem Vaziri-Hamaneh for what is seen as the top job in Iran's Cabinet.
Lawmakers are expected to vote next week (on December 11) on Mr. Vaziri-Hamaneh, who is the fourth man the president has named to lead the Oil Ministry. Parliament's failure to approve the previous nominees has left Tehran's energy policy in disarray.
Iran has about one-eighth of the world's known oil reserves and currently pumps more than four million barrels of oil per day -- more than five percent of worldwide production.
