지난 9일 암만의 호텔들에서 57명을 살해한 알 카에다의 연쇄 자살 폭탄 공격의 일환으로 자폭하려했던 이라크 여인이 자백하는 장면이 요르단 텔레비젼에 방영됐습니다.
이 여인은, 암만의 래디쏜 호텔 결혼 피로연장에서 터뜨리려다 실해한 폭발물 띠를 두른채 텔레비전에 나타났습니다. 이 여인은, 남편의 폭발물 벨트가 폭발한 뒤 호텔을 떠났다고 말하고 있습니다.
요르단의 마르완 무아샤르 부총리는, 이 여인의 동생이 “이라크내 알 카에다”두목, 아부 무사브 알 자르카위의 핵심 측근이었으며, 이라크의 팔루자 시에서 살해됐었다고 밝혔습니다.
이라크내 알 카에다는 암만 호텔 폭탄 테러가 자신들의 소행이라고 주장했습니다.

Jordanian television has broadcast the confession of an Iraqi woman who tried to blow herself up as part of al-Qaida's wave of suicide bombings that killed 57 people in Amman hotels Wednesday.
The woman was shown on television wearing the explosives belt that failed to go off at a wedding reception at the Radisson Hotel. She says she left the hotel after her husband's belt exploded.
Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muashar says the woman's brother was a key aide to al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who was killed in the Iraqi city of Fallujah. The group claimed responsibility for the hotel bombings.
