프랑스 파리 교외지역에서 젊은들의 폭동사태가 계속되고 있습니다.
1천 여명의 프랑스 폭동진압 경찰이 배치된 가운데 4일 밤에도 150 대 가량의 자동차에 불을 지르고 경찰차에 총격이 벌어지는 등 폭력소요가 계속됐습니다.
이날 밤 폭동에서 부상자 발생은 보고되지 않았으마 동부 도시 디종에서도 폭동으로 여러 대의 자동차들이 불탄 것으로 보도됐습니다.
폭동을 일으키고 있는 젊은이들은 대부분 북아프리카 출신 소수인종 출신이며 실업과 범죄, 인종차별 그리고 교육과 주택난 등에 불만을 품고 있다고 말합니다.

More than one-thousand French police were deployed (late Thursday) to control an eighth straight night of riots in the suburbs of Paris. Police say the most recent violence was not as bad as previous nights. Youths set fire to at least 150 cars and fired shots at police cars.
No injuries were reported. Several cars in the eastern city of Dijon are also reported to have been set ablaze. Thursday, Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin said the government will not give in to rioters.
Many of the young rioters belong to France's North African minority. Some say they are disaffected because of unemployment, crime, racism and poor education and housing.
The violence exploded last week when two North African teenagers -- believing police were chasing them -- hid in a power station and were electrocuted. Police say they were not chasing the boys.
