독일 베를린에 본부를 둔 국제투명성기구는 방글라데쉬와 차드, 투르크메니스탄이 세계에서 가장 부패한 나라라고 밝혔습니다.
이 기구는 18일 발표한 연례보고서에서 조사대상 159개국 가운데 3분의2 이상이 10점 만점에 5점을 밑돌았다고 말했습니다.
이 기구의 피터 에이겐 의장은 부패는 가난의 가장 큰 원인이자 가난 극복에 가장 큰 걸림돌이라고 말했습니다.
이번 보고서에서는 이밖에 버마, 아이티, 나이지리아, 적도 기니, 아이보리 코스트와 앙골라 등이 가장 부패한 나라로 꼽혔고, 부패가 가장 덜한 나라는 아이스랜드와 핀랜드인 것으로 나타났습니다.

A leading global monitoring group says Bangladesh, Chad and Turkmenistan are among the world's most corrupt countries.
Berlin-based Transparency International released the information today (Tuesday) in its annual report on corrupt countries. It says more than two-thirds of the 159 nations surveyed on the list scored less than five out of 10.
The group's chairman, Peter Eigen, called corruption a major cause of poverty as well as a barrier to overcoming it.
Other countries topping the corruption list include Burma, Haiti, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast and Angola.
Among the least corrupt countries are Iceland and Finland.
The United States ranked 17 on the list, China came in at 82, and Venezuela at 130. Russia dropped to 126 from 90 last year.
Transparency International called for strong coordination among governments, the private sector and civil society to increase efficiency in the struggle against corruption.
