아시아태평양경제협력체 (에이펙) 재무장관들과 중앙은행 총재들은 9일 유가 상승이 아태 지역의 경제성장을 저해할 수 있다고 말했습니다.
이들은 이날 한국의 제주도에서 막을 내린 에이펙 회의에서 이같이 밝히고, 치솟는 유가에 함께 대처해 나가기로 했습니다.
이번 회의에서 산유국 회원국들은 수요를 왜곡하는 국내 에너지산업에 대한 보조금지급을 줄이고, 원유생산과 정유 시설에 대한 투자를 늘이겠다고 밝혔습니다.
주최측 대표로 참석한 한덕수 재무장관은 석유시장의 비효율성과 투명성 결여가 몇몇 나라들에서의 수요 증대와 겹쳐 유가인상을 초래하고 있다고 말했습니다.

Central bankers and finance ministers from Asian and Pacific countries say soaring oil prices could hinder regional economic growth.
Finance chiefs from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum (APEC) wrapped up a meeting on South Korea's Jeju island today (Friday) with an agreement to deal with mounting oil prices.
Oil-producing members say they will seek to reduce what they call "demand-distorting subsidies" to their domestic energy industries, while boosting investment in production and refining capabilities.
South Korean Finance Minister Han Duck-soo, who hosted the two-day gathering, said inefficiency and lack of transparency in oil markets, along with surging demand from emerging economies, have helped push fuel prices higher.
Crude oil prices are currently above 60 dollars a barrel, an increase of about 50 percent over the past year.
