아로요 대통령은 지난 해의 선거 부정과 수회 부정 부패 그리고 그밖의 다른 범죄 행위를 저질렀다고 비난을 받고있습니다.
그러나 아로요 대통령은 아무런 잘못도 저지르지 않았으며 사임을 거부하고 있습니다.
아로요 대통령의 제휴 세력이 장악하고 있는 필리핀 하원은 모든 탄핵 사유를 기각하라는 한 위원회의 건의에 관해 이번 주 표결할 것으로 보입니다.

Former Philippine President Corazon Aquino says she will lead a mass protest march through Manila Tuesday, calling on Congress to impeach President Gloria Arroyo.
Police in the capital say they are on full alert, with a 300-member security force already in place to keep the peace around Congress.
The Philippine House (of Representatives), which is dominated by Mrs. Arroyo's allies, is expected to vote this week on a committee's recommendation to dismiss all impeachment charges.
Mrs. Arroyo is accused of rigging last year's election -- and of bribery, corruption and other crimes. She has denied any wrongdoing and has refused to resign.
