이들은 숙소내 알코올 반입과 휴대폰 사용 금지 규정 철폐등 더 나은 작업 환경과 생활 조건을 요구하고 있습니다.

Police in Taiwan say hundreds of Thai workers have set fire to their dormitory and clashed with riot police during a protest over working conditions.
Taiwan authorities say the riots erupted late Sunday in the southern port city of Kaohsiung, and were caused by Thai workers upset over drinking restrictions in their housing quarters. The workers, hired to build a transit railway project in the city, burned cars, set fire to their dormitory, and threw stones at police. No serious injuries were reported.
The foreign workers are demanding better working and living conditions, including an end to a ban on the use of alcohol and cell-phones in their housing building. Thai nationals are one of the largest groups of foreign workers on the island.
