헬리콥터 추락 사고로 사망한 존 가랑 수단 부통령의 장례식이 6일 수단 남부 주바에서 열릴 예정인 가운데 준비가 진행 중에 있습니다.
수단 반군의 전 지도자였던 가랑 부통령의 시신은 장례식에 앞서 수단인들의 조문을 위해 남부의 몇 개 도시를 돌고 있습니다.
요웨리 무세베니 우간다 대통령은 헬리콥터 추락의 원인은 분명하지 않다면서, 사고일 수도 있지만 다른 원인에 의한 것일 수도 있다고 말했습니다. 하지만 수단 정부와 가랑 부통령이 속했던 반군단체는 악천후가 추락의 이유라고 밝혔습니다.
현재 헬리콥터의 블랙박스가 발견돼 수단 정부와 반군단체, 그리고 유엔과 미국이 참여한 가운데 조사가 진행 중에 있습니다.

Preparations are under way in Juba, southern Sudan, for the funeral of the late vice president and longtime rebel leader, John Garang.
Mr. Garang's body has been flown to several southern towns to allow mourners to pay their last respects ahead of his Saturday burial.
During a stop in Yei, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said the cause of the helicopter crash that killed Mr. Garang is not clear. Mr. Museveni said it may have been an accident or something else.
Mr. Garang was flying in Mr. Museveni's personal helicopter when it crashed last Saturday on the border between Uganda and Sudan.
Both the Sudanese government and Mr. Garang's rebel movement have said bad weather caused the deadly accident.
The aircraft's black box has been found. A probe involving Sudan's government, the rebel movement, the United Nations and the United States is under way.
Rumors of sabotage led to riots in the capital, Khartoum, and elsewhere this week, killing at least 130 people.
