British police have arrested four men in the city of Birmingham in connection with last week's failed attempt to bomb London's transit system.
A spokesman said three men were arrested at the same address early today (Wednesday) while another had to be subdued by police at a separate location, where a suspicious package was found.
British media say the man could be one of four men suspected of trying to bomb three subway trains and a bus in London last Thursday.
In a separate development, two men were arrested under the country's anti-terrorism laws while traveling from the central English city of Newcastle to London's King Cross subway station. On July 7th, four suspected suicide bombers traveled to that same station before detonating four bombs on three subway cars and one of London's signature double-decker buses -- killing 52 people.
