영국 경찰은 지난 21일 런던 지하철과 버스에서 발생한 폭탄테러와 관련해 한 명의 용의자를 체포했다고 22일 밝혔습니다.
영국 경찰 대변인은 앞서 같은날 경찰이 테러 용의자 1명을 사살했던 런던의 한 지하철 역 주변에서 이 용의자를 체포했다고 말했습니다.
경찰 당국은 지하철 역에서의 테러용의자 사살은 런던 시내에서 계속되고 있는 테러리스트 수사와 연계돼 있다고 말했습니다.
경찰 당국은 그러나 이번에 체포된 용의자와 앞서 경찰이 사진을 공개한 폭탄 테러 용의자 4명과의 관련여부는 밝히지 않았습니다.
4명의 폭탄 테러 용의자중 3명은 지하철역에, 그리고 한 명은 버스에서 폐쇄 회로 카메라에 각각 모습이 포착됐습니다.
영국 경찰은 테러에 사용된 폭탄은 사제 폭탄이며 완전히 폭발하지 않아 중상자가 발생하지 않았다고 말했습니다.

British police say they have arrested a man in connection with Thursday's bombings in the city's transit system.
A police spokeswoman says the arrest took place in a London area (Stockwell) where police shot and killed a man at a train station earlier today (Friday).
Police say the fatal shooting at the station was directly linked to the ongoing terrorist investigation in the city.
Police did not say whether the arrest was linked to their earlier release of surveillance photos of four suspects wanted in connection with Thursday's explosions. Three showed suspects at train stations and the fourth of a
suspect on a bus.
Authorities say Thursday's bombs used homemade explosives that did not fully detonate and caused no serious injuries.
The blasts were claimed by the same group (Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades) that took responsibility for the similar July 7th London transit bombings that killed 56 people.
