The U.S. space agency, NASA, says it will try to launch the space shuttle Discovery next Tuesday, as investigators close in on the likely cause of a fuel sensor malfunction that has kept the orbiter grounded.
Officials Wednesday said an electrical grounding problem is the most probable cause of the malfunction. The space agency says even though it is still investigating the problem, a launch countdown is expected to begin on Saturday.
Last week, NASA grounded Discovery about two hours before its scheduled launch, after the problem was discovered. NASA says if the problem persists, liftoff could be postponed until September.
