British authorities have made the first victim identification from last week's London terrorist bombings.
Police said today (Monday) the victim is a 53-year-old woman (Susan Levy) from (Hertfordshire) a town outside London.
There are 49 confirmed deaths, but officials say that number will rise once all of the victims' bodies have been recovered. Dangerous conditions in subway tunnels are hampering recovery efforts and the collection of forensic evidence.
Forensics experts say it could take weeks to identify all the victims of Thursday's transit system attacks.
Meanwhile, millions of London residents headed back to work and their daily routines today (Monday) as the city remains under its second-highest terrorism threat alert level.
British officials have urged Londoners to return to their normal lives in a show of solidarity against the terrorists.
