토니 블레어 영국 총리는 7일 런던 도시 전체의 대중 교통 체계를 강타한 연쇄 테러 공격을 규탄했습니다.
블레어 총리는 스코틀랜드에서 열리고 있는 세계 주요 8개국, G-8정상회의에서 연설하는 가운데, 자신이 피해 상황을 파악하기 위해 런던으로 향할 것이며 저녁 무렵에 회의에 복귀할 것이라고 말했습니다.
블레어 총리는 테러 분자들이 그들을 물리치려는 전세계의 결의가 전세계에 테러리즘을 퍼트리려는 자신들의 노력 보다 위대하다는 사실을 깨달아야 한다고 강조했습니다.
앞서, 런던 지하철 열차와 버스들에서 연쇄 폭발이 일어나 수많은 사상자가 발생했고 현재까지 최소한 2명의 사망자들의 신원이 확인됐습니다.
찰스 클라크 영국 내무장관은 이번 폭발이 엄청난 피해를 초래했다고 말했습니다. 당국은 아침 출근 시간에 런던의 교통 체계를 뒤흔든 연쇄 폭발이 일어난 뒤를 이어 지하철역 주변을 봉쇄했습니다.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair has condemned the series of terrorist bombings that closed down London'sentire public transport system today (Thursday).
Speaking from the Group of Eight summit in Scotland, Mr. Blair said he will travel to London to assess the situation, then return to the meeting this evening.
He stressed that terrorists should realize that the world's determination to defeat them is greater than their efforts to impose terrorism on the world.
Earlier, a series of blasts shook London subway trains and buses, killing at least two people. British Home Secretary Charles Clarke says the blasts had caused terrible injuries.
Authorities sealed off areas around subway stations following the blasts that shook the city's transport system at the height of the morning rush hour.
