'아마디네자드, 미국대사관 점거사건 관련없다' - 이란 대통령 당선자 측 거듭 주장 (영문기사 첨부)

마흐무드 아마디네자드 이란 대통령 당선자의 보좌관들은 아마디네자드가 1979년 테헤란에서 미국대사관 점거에 개입했었다는 비난들을 거듭 부인했습니다.

아마디네자드 당선자의 한 선거 참모는 2일 인질을 잡은 젊은이가 아마디네자드라는 사진들은 실제로 다른 사람이라고 말했습니다.

아마디네자드의 또다른 보좌관도 이 같은 부인에 동조했습니다. 백악관은 아마디네자드 당선자가 테헤란 미국대사관 점거사태에 관련이 있는지를 면밀히 조사하고 있다고 말했습니다.

Aides to Iranian President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have again rejected accusations that he was involved in the 1979 seizure of the American embassy in Tehran.

One senior campaign advisor said today (Saturday) that photographs of a hostage-taker purported to be a young Mr. Ahmadinejad actually show someone else. Some of the hostage-takers also have denied that he played any role in the siege. And other aides to the president-elect have added to the denials.

The White House says it is looking into allegations linking the Iranian president-elect to the crisis that lasted 444 days.

Another accusation against Mr. Ahmadinejad has surfaced in Europe. An Austrian political figure contends that the Iranian president-elect was involved in the 1989 slaying in Vienna of a Kurdish opposition leader.

Aides to Mr. Ahmadinejad said the latest accusation is not worth comment.
