노벨 평화상에 바치는 새로운 [평화센터] 박물관이 11일 노르웨이의 수도 오슬로에서 개관됐습니다.
오슬로 시 바닷가의 전 기차역에 세워진 이 [평화센터]는 노벨상의 창설자인 알프레드 노벨과 112명의 수상자들및 노벨상의 역사에 관한 다양한 미디아의 전시물들을 갖추고 있습니다.
이날 개관식에서 노르웨이의 하랄드 국왕과 스웨덴의 카를 구스타프 국왕이 식장 단상에 오르자 21발의 예포가 울렸습니다. 이번 개관식에는 1993년도 노벨 평화상 수상자인 넬슨 만델라 전 남아프리카 공화국 대통령이 참석해 방명록에 서명했습니다.
평화센터의 개관식은 노르웨이가 스웨덴과의 연합으로부터 평화롭게 분리한지 100주년을 기념한지 며칠만에 이루어졌습니다.

A new museum dedicated to the Nobel Peace Prize has opened with great fanfare in Oslo, Norway.
The Peace Center, housed in a former train station on the city's waterfront, is complete with multi-media displays about the 112 laureates, the history of the prize as well and its creator, Alfred Nobel.
A 21-gun salute greeted the kings of Norway (King Harald) and Sweden (King Carl Gustaf) as they arrived at the center for the ceremony. Wednesday, 1993 Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela toured the new center and signed its guest book.
The Peace Center's opening (Saturday) comes several days after Norway celebrated the 100th anniversary of the peaceful dissolution of its union with Sweden.
