지난 해 전세계 군사비 지출 총액 가운데 미국의 군사비 지출이 거의 절반인 47퍼센트인 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.
스웨덴의 국제평화연구소가 7일 발표한 조사보고서에 따르면 작년 전세계 군사비 지출 총액이 1조 달러를 넘어선 것으로 나타난 가운데 이같이 밝혀졌습니다.
국제평화연구소는 또 지난 해의 전세계 군사비 지출 규모가 냉전의 절정기였던 1987년-88년에 비해 불과 6퍼센트 줄어든 것으로 나타났다고 밝혔습니다.

A prominent Swedish research firm says world military spending exceeded one trillion dollars last year.
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute says the United States accounted for 47 percent of the total spending.
It also says world military spending is only six percent lower than it was at its peak in 1987-1988 as the Cold War was ending.
The institute published its findings (Tuesday) in its annual report.
