Dig in your heels
Yujin: Hey, you look so busy with your community service and volunteer work these days.
Jen: I know. But there are so many people who need love and care in this world.
Yujin: That’s great but it must be hard on you.
Jen: I know it’s hard but it’s worth it. So I’m digging in my heels, and I’m determined to help people in need.

오늘의 영어 표현은 Dig in your heels입니다.

If you dig your heels in, you resist or refuse to change a course of action or opinions. It simply means that you are determined and you won’t let anything change your mind. For example, if someone’s trying to change your idea만약 어떤 사람이 여러분의 믿음을 바꾸려고 할 때, But you think your idea is right and you want to keep it 그렇지만 그 믿음이 맞다고 생각되고, 지키고 싶을 때, “I’m digging in my heels and I’m devoted to what I think is right.

오늘의 영어 표현, ‘Dig in your heels 입장을 고수하다, 생각을 바꾸지 않다’ Dig in your heels 꼭 기억해두세요!
